I was born almost in a single gesture, quick and lively like me at a gallop.
I come from the earth, ochre and sienna, golden and warm.
I move in silence under the water and the mud, barely sketched but very much alive.
Besides, I’m so lively that you’re hardly noticed me under my fuzzy outlines but sufficiently precise to distinguish my ardor and my joy of living, this vital impulse that I know lurks deep inside me.
I’m the earth and the sky that I touch with my forehead.
