Rolling is a posture I’ve made a lot for my first years as an artist. I loved to find the good lines which are more difficult with the unusual perspective. I quickly wanted to explore the idea of the movement in doing multiple compositions of the same horse in the movement of rolling on the same painting. A bit like Muybridge and its pictures of a galloping horse, in a kind of decomposition of the motion.
Sometimes I like to find back these attitudes so natural and pleasant for a horse.
