Expressivity Story 2
2/3 – 2019 came and I pushed further my experimentations. I kept running, landscape still moved around me. As a graphic designer, I naturally added graphic on my paintings.
They became a sort of mix between a 3D landscape and a view from above. The idea of adding graphics from maps seemed then obvious.
I felt so much freedom and excitement during this painting sessions, a new energy I’d totally forgot with my horses.
I was just terrified of not be able to paint a single horse again on day. It was like an overdose, I couldn’t imagine drawing a line of their shapes again. As if these shapes locked me up in a box I no longer wanted to be. I didn’t see how it was possible to merge defined shapes and the liberty of abstraction…
